Research paper reflection

I chose this topic because it was a controversy that I have seen a lot lately, and one that I actually cared about and was interested in, so I figured I would actually be motivated to the write the paper. Once picking the topic of the 2022 World Cup I had to narrow down the topic to the weather and why it was not suitable for a World Cup to be held at this time. One difficult part about this paper was finding academic sources solely about this world cup. There were a few, but most pertained to the working conditions that are happening there now due to the tournament instead of the tournament itself. To overcome this I used academic sources that weren't necessarily about this World Cup but still pertained to the topic, such as athletic performance in the heat, and tourism in hot places. I feel as if a conference would have helped with my revision, because some explanation behind the comments would have helped me understand what my paper is lacking. This assignment was easier to write for me than the first assignment because I was able to express my opinion, and not just present information in an unbiased manner. In this research paper we had to use research to support our argument of what we believed was true, where in the informational report, we found the information and just presented it without taking a stand. The informational report was not about a conflict or controversy so there really was no way to argue a point, it was just providing information.
