Remediation Project Reflection

The purpose of my remediation project was to translate the information from my research paper to another medium to make the argument simpler and less time consuming to read but still convey the major ideas. I think I did this pretty well, but it was hard to fit in some major points without being too extensive and basically copying what I had written in my paper. At first I had chosen to do a PowerPoint, but I found it difficult to fit the information I wanted to share on slides and keep them relatively short, so I switch to a blog/website. This made it a lot easier for me to share the information because I could put it in paragraph format so I did not have to shorten my points as much.
My target did not change when I remediated my paper, it was still towards people that care about football and the world cup problems that have risen the awarding of the 2022 World Cup to Qatar. This project did change the rhetorical situation somewhat though because it made it a tad bit more informal. The point was to get the information and argument across but in a visually appealing way, so there were more colors used, images, and a lot shorter paragraphs.
Using the blog to present my argument was a lot different than the paper. I used a bigger font, with a black background and white letters, and added images to each page. In the paper there was not images and wasn’t as visually appealing.
