Rhetorical Situation

Last semester I took a music history course, which required me to attend concerts and write a concert report afterwards. The main purpose of the piece was to give the reader an idea of what went on in the concert, what kind of music was played, how the band was, and what each piece performed was like. To get this information across I would have to describe in grave detail the different characteristics of the musical pieces, such as the melody, the tempo, the dynamics, and other aspects of the song to help the reader understand what the piece sounded like.  The review was written for any person interested in music that might want to know how a certain band or genre of music is viewed, to inform them of the songs played, or maybe help them make a decision of going to a concert of the same band.
I did not direct the piece towards the intended audience very well because it was a subject I did not understand very well and had little interest in, so it was more aimed towards my professor. More information could have been added to help someone out that would have seriously read it to gain information on the concert that I attended.
