One question I have over the
syllabus is the class blog that we are required to post our homework to. Is
this something that everyone in the class will look at and will we be required
to review each others work if so? Anther
concern I have is about the revision policy. Is there a limit on how many times
a major assignment may be revised and resubmitted? Also, can this be done only
with one of the major assignments, or all of them if need be? If there is a
problem with coming to class that would not be considered as excused, is it
acceptable to have another student turn your work in for you so that you do not
receive a zero on the assignment?
I
am also slightly confused on the attendance policy. The syllabus states that
the maximum number of excused absences is 3, and after 3 your grade will lower
by 1/3 of a letter grade. If a class is missed and it is not excused, what is
the penalty? Is it still each class after 3 missed is 1/3 of the student’s
final grade and a zero on any assignment due on the day that was missed, or is
this policy implemented on the first absence sense it would be considered
unexcused?
